Hi girls!
After a brief break, here I am again with a new card! This time I have decided to continue on my Christmas cards pile, so here is my latest creation:

The papers, once again, come from one of the Christmas NitWit Collection and I am madly in love with it!! :-)

The snowflakes come from Crafty Ribbons which were actually purchased last year at a Christmas crafty fair in Dublin....:-(

As for the brad, I think it works well with this card as it carries the Christmassy sentiment.... ;-)

Wedding anniversary....

I find that cards for wedding anniversary always need to be that little extra special, whether it refers to the image, the papers, the embellies.... So, as the occasion was so special, I decided to use 'extra special' bits all around!!! Thanks to some valuable advice from Annika about a month ago, I decided to use this super cute and loving image from Mo's Digital....As you may have noticed before, I absolutely love their images and I think this one really shows you the love that eternally grows between husband and wife!

The image has been coloured using a mix of Copics (which I am falling in love more and more....) and Promarkers.

The papers used have been generated digitally. I have recently discovered NitWit Collections, which have absolutely gorgeous digital papers!!! I think that the papers come from their Christmas range, but I think they are very versatile and think that they work perfectly in this occasion.

And here we come to the little details that make us card-makers thrill in our own seats!!! The ribbon, which I accidentally found in my stash, is a PERFECT match to the papers.....!!!! (sorry, the pic is so brutal that does no justice to my poor card and its details....) One of those rare occasions that would have never occured even if I went out and looked specifically for that shade of pink/red!!!!

As for the roses, they come from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Retirement Card

Hello again girls! This is my second post today, so, if you wish, please scroll down to view my first post.

Here I have a retirement card for a lady who loves travelling!! For this reason, I decided to use this image by Isabella's Sketchbook, called Suitcase Stack. I have actually just read that Isabella won't be designing anymore for some time due to health issues....It's a real pity because she has a great talent! Hopefully we will see her again soon!

Card recipe:
  • Image: Isabella's Sketchbook
  • Paper: October Afternoon
  • Punches: Fiskar and spellbinders
  • Flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts
  • Colouring: copics and promarkers....

Let's celebrate our grandads....

Hello girls!!

I know I have been absent for some time, but I have been very busy with the summer holidays, kids at home off school, day trips while the weather was still good....and time went by so fast I can hardly believe it is September already!!!! :-)

So, to celebrate my return to the world blogs, I decided to show you this cute little card I have made for a friend of mine for her dad...or rather for her 2 little girls to their grandad!!! :-)

The image is one of the many fab images I have by Mo's Digital (I absolutely adore their little designs...) which is called "Two tu-tus". I think the two little girls are just adorable!!!

The papers are some of my new MME paper I have recently bought from the US...

As for the ribbon, it comes from Crafty Ribbons and little metal heart has been in my stash from some time and this is the first time I use them...

I have then also decorated the inside of the card with this little sentiment I found somewhere on the internet:

What a candy....!!!

Hi girls!

As I was sitting here on the couch and browsing the real of card-making blogs, I came across this rather unusual, yet extremely fascinating candy: A thousand sheets of paper candy! Amy, the generous candy giver, has gone through 1,000 sheets of paper in just over a year while making cards!!! :-)

Well, I let you do the calculation on how many cards she might have made during that period and how many designs she might have used per card....;-)

You can find more details about her candy over on her blog!

Happy viewing!!

Another Christmas card...

Hello girls!
As I got in the Christmas card mood, I decided to keep going and create my...second...WOW!! Christmas card now, in the middle of July!!! :-)

The image has amgically appeared on my C drive, so, sorry, I do not know where it comes from....:-( As for the papers, they are all digitally created, and so is the sentiment! I then added some sparkle to the snowman and to its snow ...et voilá!! :-)

Phindy's thank you card

Hello girls,
as soon as I saw that Phindy's blog was having a 'blue' challenge, I couldn't let it go..... I love blue!! :-) So, here is the card I created and that you always need to have in your ready-made-cards drawer!!

I love this image by Phindy as you can use it for many different occasions! The papers I used are actually digital papers and they turned out fab when I printed them out just as they were fab when I saw them on my computer screen!

The sentiment is from Sentimental Sundays blog and, if you go over on a Sunday, they always have freebies to give away!

As for the flowers, ribbon and pearls, they all come from my stash....

Christmas in July

Hello girls!

During some of my recent 'surf' on various card making blogs, I came across many crafters who decided to work on their Christmas cards!! So I kinda thought it might have been good to start making a few of those cards, so here is my first creation:

Looking back, the creation might be a little simple and plain, but hey...this is my first Christmas card this year!! ;-)

I'm not too sure where the images comes from, as I just 'found' it on my C drive.... As for the sentiment, I created myself on the computer...

The snowman was plainly coloured with my Promarkers and then finished off with plenty of stickles for the snow!!! You can never have enough stickles on a Christmas card, can't you?!?! ;-)

A friend in need is a friend indeed!

Hello girls!

As I was set to make a card, I thought it might have been nice to send this card to a dear friend of mine who is going through a rough moment....

The card is fairly simple and that's because I wanted to concentrate on the message....

The image is one of my favourite Magnolia stamps which I hadn't used in a long time... The papers are from MME Bloom Grow and ribbon and flowers from my stash.

Another year gone by...

Time goes on and we get older...;-) So here is a card I made for my brother-in-law who turned 40 this year!

Papers are from DCWV Citrus set and, I think, MME, which has been in my stash for some time... Ribbons and buttons come from my stash too and the image is an old time friend from the Penny Black collection! I love them!! :-)

And with this card I would like to enter the challenge on Quirky Crafts, which is about ribbons!

Sassy's challenge - Happy birthday!

Here we are again with another creation!

As I was browsing a few different card blogs, I came across several webpages that inspired me to create today's card. The sketch comes from Truly Scrumptious which, as you might have noticed from some other creations of mine, I particularly like!

The image comes Sassy Cheryl's collection, Dance Partners which I think is really sweet and fun!

The sentiment is from Sentimental Sundays and I think it goes very well with the image.

The pink layer of paper underneath the image was created by simply colouring a piece of cream card (the same I used to print the image on) with the same colour I used for the little girl's dress (Promarkers pale pink to be precise!! lol). What a fab effect! And the same is for the flowers.... I really love the way that everything blends and matches together!

Father's day

It's this time of the year again... and fathers are really great after all!! :-) Especially our father, aka my hubby, as he looks after the kids so well and he's great support for me! But anyway, so here is our Father's day card:

I have loved this Phindy's image ever since the first time I saw it and I thought it was very cute for this very special occasion, as our dad loves gardening! :-)

The papers used as still from my new DCWV late purchase (I have been using quite a lot lately!!) and they are so soft and summery and I am more and more in love with them as time goes by..;-)

In this card too, then, I created my own flowers with the Stampin' Up! punch I got lately.

On the other side, I used 2 layers of ribbons which I believe complement the rest of the paper very well. I have a thing for dots....I don't know if you have noticed it...;-)

And, finally, thanks to Annika, I have this sentiment inside the card:

And that's how it all went!! :-)

Another baby boy!

It must be in the air, but lately all my friends are having baby boys...! :-) And even the friends of friends!!! Hence the reason why I have been busy making baby boy's cards...;-)

As I said in my previous post, I have recently purchased some DCWV paper (Citrus) and, despite the fact that it is not specific for babies, it has some really nice papers in it with soft colours! So, the DCWV papers are the 2 top layers (the one underneath the image and the one with the ribbon around it). But recently I have also bought some October Afternoon (Ducks in a row) paper as I have seen so many lovely creations being made with it...! And the OA paper is the one underneath all the rest....;-P Isn't it just fab!!! And, may I add, just so delicate for a little baby's card....

The ribbons come from my local sewing shop and the little buttons on the bottom right are from Craty Buttons.

But let's get to the bit I like the most.... The handmade paper flowers on the left hand side!!! I have been looking at a few tutorials on YouTube about making flowers yourself with punches and I then came across this Stampin' Up! punch, which has complimentary stamps....WOW!!! You can stamp the flowers and then punch them out!!! I know you could simply cut them out by hand, but it would take a long time and I am not very good at cutting by hand...:-( So, when I had the opportunity to buy the punch and the stamps together, I grabbed it as fast as I could!!! lol!!! And these are the very first flowers I created with them....I guess, not too bad as a first attempt!! ;-)

For all the teachers out there!

Oh yes....another year has gone... and my big baby is getting even bigger! And so, to celebrate the end of my son's first year at school and to thank the teacher for all her hard work, I decided to create this card for her from my son:

I have recently purchased some DCWV paper (Citrus) and I was dying to use it, so this was a great opportunity! I like the fact that the colours are fairly neutral, yet they give you a great sense of joy and summer time! I have also distressed all the papers, the image and the sentiment and I am really pleased with the overall result.

Little baby boy

Hello again!
The great thing about Ireland is that, no matter what, you always know somebody who is either pregnant, about to have a baby or just had one!! I love it!! :-) And so, here I am again to make a little baby card for a friend of mine:

My friend expressly asked me to put all different details on the front of the card (name, dob and weight) and so i did, but maybe i should have persuaded her to put some of that info inside the card, but maybe that's just personal taste.. ;-)

The stary blue paper in the background has been in my stash for a long time and i always fin it hard to use outside babys cards, so this was my perfect occasion! The airplane paper comes from DCVW Nana's collection. As for the hands/feet buttons and the ribbons, they come from this great company -Crafty Ribbons- that I discovered at a craft fair here in Dublin a few years ago!

And this is the inside of the card:

Here again...

It has been some time since I last posted here, as I have been extremely busy with the kids... :-( But all the same, I managed at last to put this little card together.... I have managed to put together some brand new paper I got a few weeks ago (the top layer with big flowers) and some very old paper that I have never used (the light pink layer).

Twin girls!!!

A few days ago I received a fantastic news: a friend of mine had her first 'babies', twin girls!!! I am so happy for her, as I am always happy when people have babies....;-) They are just so adorable!
Anyway, fact being that I HAD to make a card for her little girls and this is what I created:

For this card I embossed some lovely baby pink paper I had in my stash for a llloooonnngg time with my Swiss Dots embossing folder (which I adore!) and then added some glitter paper by Nana's Kids DCWV, which, I have also never used before and had in my press for a long time... The combination of the 2 papers is actually really cute, so I honestly do not know why I have never used the papers before...! ;-)

I then decorated the card with some lovely flowers (obviously 2 flowers for the twin girls!) and really adorable little hand and foot buttons I got some time ago at a craft fair.

I found this image at Mo's Digital and I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it and I thought it would have been perfect for this occasion, even though it does not represent 2 little baby girls, if you know what I mean! I add some little sparkle in the tutu, in the stars and in the hair accessories just to give it a little extra glam effect!

The layout was taken from Mo's Dream Team blog and I really think that it worked out very well for this card!
Furthermore, because of such a special occasion, I also decided to decorate the inside of the card:

Despite the fact that the pics are possibly not the best i could have taken, I am really really happy with the outcome of this card!! :-)
